2011 Camp is scheduled for June 13 - July 29! Camp Director: Sharon Irby Camp Providence is a non-profit summer day-camp in a Spiritual setting that serves youth of all ages, especially focusing on underprivileged children in and around Anderson,SC. Children from low-income homes, sometimes battered and abused, are able to "escape" at camp as an alternative to the street. By offering camp at NO COST to families, serving FREE lunches through the USDA meal program, and driving the children to-and-from camp each day, we help youth & families experience camp who might otherwise be unable to. Every day, Campers will participate in games, sports, crafts, swimming, canoeing and more. Whatever the activity, from singing songs to piggy-back rides, we want to bring these kids what they need ..... ..... LOVE, ATTENTION & ENCOURAGEMENT.
