Since Camp is offered at no cost to the campers, it is only by God's grace and the gifts of churches, organizations, businesses and individuals that Camp Providence has been able to operate for 34 years - touching hundreds of children, youth and adults each year.
Here are some ways you can reach out to our campers:
Vans and/or Busses are needed to transport campers to and from their neighborhoods. Your church or organization may be able to pledge the use of a van/bus (with driver and fuel) for part of the summer.
Small bus or van donated to the camp.
Financial contributions for operating expenses from churches, individuals, and local businesses.
Life jackets/ child sizes and teen sizes.
bathing suits/girls and boys - all sizes.
Dinners for the staff or meal gift cards for the staff.
Mission/Youth Groups are invited to volunteer a week in one-on-one sharing and participation with the campers.
Volunteers are welcomed! This is a great opportunity for teachers, nurses, retirees, parents and grandparents.
Donations ..... Become a Camp Partner! Approximately $ 58.00 will sponsor one child for one week.
In its rustic setting on Hartwell Lake, we hope that campers will encounter God's creation and feel his love while learning of their aewsome self-worth, being motivated, and having positive role models.
Basic Supplies needed for the operation of the camp:
* - Paper products: bathroom tissue; paper towels; plates; cups; plastic eating utensils
* - Cleaning supplies: Mops & Brooms; bathroom, floor, kitchen & window cleaner
* - Light bulbs (60 & 100 Watt) & Floodlight bulbs (100 & 150 Watt) - CFL preferred
* - First aid supplies: Band-Aids (all sizes); Roll Bandages & Sterile Bandages (all sizes); First Aid Tape; Bee Sting Sticks; Antibiotic Cream
* - Liquid Hand Soap; hand sanitizer
* - Arts & Craft supplies: Construction Paper; glue; washable markers; Acrylic Craft Paint; Paint Brushes (all sizes)
By providing these necessities you can help our staff focus on its mission - the campers.
